Hiccup was ecstatic. For a while, thanks to a friend, people were immune to his powers. If they still even worked. Occasionally he could get a short flame but other than that his powers were extinguished. This meant he could finally be normal, if anything in Discord was normal. Hiccup blindly made his way around Discord till he came across the Haunted Mansion. Curiosity peeked his interests and convinced him to come inside.
The place was a mess and hard to breathe in. Hiccup coughed into his fist, looking around to look for the exit. Instead he came across a familiar face. He yelped with surprise.

Hans jumped in surprised when the other boy let out his own cry of surprise, not having expected to run into anyone else while he was here. He remembered the boy though, from when he'd first moved here several years ago. "Oh, umm, hello," he greeted with a sheepish grin.

Hiccup narrowed his eyes with concentration, trying to recognize the face. He lit up with a grin in realization. "Oh Hans! It's been a while. Good to see you again."

Hiccup clasped his hands together, rubbing them nervously. "So..uh. H-How have you been?" Hiccup remembered the crush he had on Hans. The memory made him blush.

"I've been pretty good. It was kind of strange when so many people left at first." Hans noticed the blush, an amused smile touching his lips as he tilted his heas.

Hiccup frowned slightly at the mention of a girl, but quickly perked up. "That's great. I've seen Jack, which was great as well." He rubbed at the back of his neck nervously. "So what brings you back to Discord?"

"I was one of the few that didn't end up leaving before," he smile, gaze dropping to his feet before it flicked up to Hiccup.

Hiccup shook his head glumly. "Jack seems to have Jackson under control which is good. So Discord is much safer than before." Hiccup clapped his hands together again. "Also I got my powers revoked for a while. It's great freedom."

Hiccup nodded enthusiastically. "Everything I touched basically went into flames. I've never felt more relieved. I can actually hug my sister and shake peoples hands."

Hiccup snapped his fingers. "Exactly. See." Hiccup placed his glove-less hand on Han's shoulder. "Not even a scorch." He quickly pulled back his hand with a silly grin. "I must sound like a psycho."
